New Spoon Day

I picked up a .45 1911 Colt Commander (lightweight) today from a friend who was selling it at a good price. It is in great shape, and should be fun to shoot.

Very Cool.

I figured my Colt 1911 Gold Cup needed a little brother.

Love the 1911s, keep up the good work!

Wish it was mine: Singer @ RIA

The PINACLE of 1911 Spoons is the Singer military contract...they can go for 40K..However there are more floating around then ever were factory made.

Next in line are the Prewar 38 Supermatch, UMC Military Contract in mint condition..11K, Prewar National Match, 1912 production military and commericals (to C4500). Navy & USMC pre WW1's, Pre mid 1941 Brushed Blue 1911A1's, Pre WW1 Springfield Arsenals Pre war 38 Supers, Post war 38 Super Match (circa 1960). Pre war Aces...and Commercials, Standard WW1 militarys. Condition and orginality is everything..

Everything else is more or less run of the mill.

In looking at the preceding pictures I would think there are some pretty nice weapons posted.

As for run of the mill, have you ever shot a Swenson 1911. Collectible? maybe not. Run of the mill ? Hardly

Word. I have a huge appreciation for the WWII contract guns (hell, the crown jewel in my collection is the Ithaca that was passed down to me by my father) but it's not like I would ever shoot one.

I'm taking my pimped-out, slightly worked-over Dan Wesson RZ-10 with me to the range tomorrow. Super-grippy G10 stocks and a mag well make for a fun weekend shooter.
