 WTF? Pet and toss...

Rick Lee 08-23-2010 01:51 PM

That's what you get for letting your cat run loose outdoors. Hey, the cat is safer in there anyway.

URY914 08-23-2010 01:52 PM

I watched the whole thing and never saw a problem. I must have missed it.

UconnTim97 08-23-2010 01:56 PM

Weird, just plain weird.

slodave 08-23-2010 02:03 PM

I'm not the biggest cat fan either, but I don't go around, tossing them in the trash. :)

RWebb 08-23-2010 02:38 PM

animal abuse - wonder if they arrested her?

KevinP73 08-23-2010 02:50 PM

Too bad this wasn't Denver, I know a couple cops that could give her what she deserves.

sammyg2 08-23-2010 02:51 PM

I love cats too. Wanna exchange recipes?

Seriously, I'm a dog lover but I like cats too.
No reason to be intentionally mean to any animal, it's just wrong.

Someone has an idea about something. Why would you have your cam on the trash can? I wonder if this was the first time. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why even stop when the cat jumps up? I don't pick up cats I don't know won't scratch the crap out of me.

+1 Weird.

Dixie 08-23-2010 03:25 PM

I bet that cat's been sleeping on her Porsche. Leaving some nice deep scratches...

M.D. Holloway 08-23-2010 07:37 PM

Security camera? Very strange - I hope it was staged but chances are it wasn't. The world is made up with some batshyt crazies.

Danny_Ocean 08-23-2010 07:41 PM

Looks like the security camera is focused on the entrance gate or a parking space.

Side note: I have one of the cameras at my shop pointed at a trash can...trying to catch the loser who keeps dumping his used cutting oil. He's gonna walk with a limp (and smell of cutting oil) when I catch him.

woodman 08-23-2010 08:21 PM

Looks like a harmless game of hide and seek to me.

slodave 08-23-2010 08:26 PM

Looks like England, so no surprise with the cameras. Also looks like that residence may have more, bottom left says "CAM-PC Front Left".

Looks like the lady has not been caught yet.

aigel 08-23-2010 08:37 PM

Cat is too tame. My cat wouldn't go near a stranger - leave alone outside. Obviously the cat was found, otherwise nobody would have reviewed the tape. This also could be staged? Any of you read the comments?

Video: Cat owners hunt for woman who put pet in wheelie bin - Telegraph

Quote:

A middle-aged woman in Coventry has been caught on CCTV putting a cat into a wheelie bin for no apparent reason and walking away.

The tabby cat, named Lola, was trapped in the bin for 15 hours before her owners finally found her.

Darryl and Stephanie Andrews-Mann thought she may have fallen in herself or been put there by louts, but were shocked to discover that a woman had put their pet in the bin deliberately.

CCTV footage shows a middle-aged woman with grey hair walk past a house on Brays Lane, Coventry, when Lola jumped onto a garden wall.

The lady stopped to stroke her. Seconds later, she glanced around to see if anyone was watching before picking up the cat, dropping her into a nearby wheelie bin, slamming the lid shut and walking away.

Darryl, 26, said: "I'd like to know how she would feel if she was stuck in a bin for 15 hours without food or drink.

"It was really hot day outside. I searched nearby alleyways [for Lola] but suddenly heard a tiny meowing coming from the bin. I looked inside and I found her in the bin. She was terrified and covered in her own mess."

The couple installed CCTV outside their home two years ago after their car was repeatedly knocked by careless drivers.

The RSPCA and West Midlands Police are now investigating the incident.

slodave 08-23-2010 10:48 PM

It's supposed to be 108F here tomorrow. Too bad she can't accidentally fall into a trash can for 15 hours out here.
