I have no prob with fixies, except for this: If you wanna draft an individual bike or hook onto an urban paceline, be polite and try a turn at the front. :-)

Just home, sorry for the delay.

10.1 lbs for a road bike?

You're gonna get a request for pictures of that. Lots of pictures...

+1

I was really disappointed when I put my new Trek Madone 4.5 on a real scale and found it really weighs 18-1/4 lbs and that's with lighter wheels and tires.

ERH 09-13-2010 05:17 PM

Sorry for the thread highjack...

Actually, closer to 10.2 lbs (trying to do kg conversions in my head) and it does weigh more now with the Powertap. I have not weighed it but CycleOps claims 402 grams for the hub.

Bike is fine now I'm working in the engine. :)

Without the Powertap, with a rim/tire change and the latest Campy set I think I could get it under 10 lbs (just) but it would require a lot of rim/tire maintenance. Like I said I'm working on the engine.

If it would make you feel any better, I'll let you borrow my welded steel Torelli for a few weeks. It's around 23-24 lbs.

I'm 20 lbs over my fighting weight, so I've no reason to worry about my bike's weight.

The Bianchi fixie wins in looks, but that Storck sounds like the F1 of bicycles!

+1 I'll take one of each please!

Nikita, did you put the dots on the rims, or did they come that way?

nikita76 09-14-2010 04:38 AM

Thanks again for the love! The rims come that way from Velocity. I still can't figure out how to take a picture in the dark to show the glowing dots. Trust me, it's effin' cool!

BTW...gorgeous Storck!
