porsche4life 09-09-2010 05:25 PM

Now if that don't give ya a chubby...

Zeke 09-09-2010 05:26 PM

For a million I could buy any number of cars that are rarer than that. I'm talking Porsches here.

But, if it's worth a mill, cool, because that makes all of our cars worth a bit more. I'm thinking kinda like the stock market.

Targa Me 09-09-2010 05:39 PM

Jerry! I know you're here somewhere, show yourself !!

ted 09-09-2010 05:43 PM

nice, speaks well for the shop.

sc_rufctr 09-09-2010 05:49 PM

Damn... Nice car. That Jerry is a lucky guy.

I wonder if he drives it.

Not that there is anything wrong with that......

450knotOffice 09-09-2010 06:32 PM

He drives it. Steve mentioned he spun it out on the road while playing with it,

Mr. Alarcon spun Jerry's car while..um.. test driving it? Ah, the perks of being a sportscar wrench. ;)

DARISC 09-09-2010 07:02 PM

That's John Voight's old car.

Do you have the pencil and a dentist to prove that? :)

R K T 09-09-2010 07:23 PM

And three doors down, there are TWO real 911R's!

MBAtarga 09-09-2010 07:24 PM

John Voight the actor, or John Voight the dentist ?

Noah930 09-09-2010 07:28 PM

Isn't it spelled "Jon?" (The actor, I mean.)

lowyder993s 09-09-2010 07:42 PM

Who spun it??? I don't think Alarcon would...if he did...good on him for being
11/10th's in someone else's million dollar car;)

futuresoptions 09-09-2010 07:44 PM

I think you're thinking of Jon Voip, that innerwebs guy who figured out how to use your cable modem for a phone.

He had a Citroen RSVP.

Steve Carlton 09-09-2010 08:07 PM

The actor is Jon, too.

Whoa! Talk about coincidences!

That little guy is Von Age! The guy that ripped off Jon Voip! I have one of his phones!

Reading is fundamental.

He = Jerry.

Let context be your friend. ;)

speeder 09-09-2010 09:07 PM

1974. The only year they used that car for IROC, if not mistaken.

Sad but true:( I still remember reading a WV & Porsche BITD where a guy converted his 74 IROC RSR into a 80s style slant nose, also sad but true:(

What are you smoking? VoIP is an acronym... Not a name. Stands for voice over internet protocol.

Please show me some info about Jon Voip that invented internet phone?

campbellcj 09-09-2010 10:05 PM

This car and 'various others' drive by my office window regularly.

I always find it amusing and a bit perturbing that race cars with no mufflers can be driven freely on Santa Monica roads by some people without hassle. I doubt I could get away with it...

By the way, take it under advisement that if "JS" learns of this thread and those photos, it is quite likely you'll hear from his lawyers. He is not the same flavor of Porsche fan as most of us here.

porsche4life 09-09-2010 10:15 PM

No mention of a Jon...

Now if Dari was joking... Well he should have put it in green!

Yeah. He's actually got the money to go out and buy these things.

Well, him and Wayne, at least.

Howzat? Pics taken in public view. He does not own the copyright. No laws violated, civil or otherwise.

That being said, I'm sure he has enough money/lawyers to sue God.

Take it under advisement? You's a lawyer??

Danny_Ocean 09-09-2010 10:27 PM

Still standing after 3+ yrs.:

Just another day driving to the office (Seinfeld 993 pics) - Rennlist Discussion Forums

450knotOffice 09-09-2010 10:30 PM

If he wants them removed, I'll remove them, but for now, but until then...

Noah930 09-09-2010 10:40 PM

Shhh! Don't use my name! One of Jerry's lawyers is gonna sic me, now!

porsche4life 09-09-2010 10:41 PM

We gotta have a scape goat somewhere....

And he keeps a vast collection of rare and interesting cars locked-up in dark warehouses, seldom seen or driven or talked-about by anybody including him. That's all I meant.
