Earlier this year my Dr. said my liver numbers were a "a bit off". I had slacked off on my exercise & diet, & let my weight balloon back to 205lbs. I started to speed walk 3 miles a day everyday until I could start jogging off & on. I have worked my way up to 7.5 miles of running & weigh 171lbs. It is a lifestyle, unless I'm sick, I exercise at least 5 days a week, try to eat only what my body needs. I eat a lots of oatmeal, granola, energy bars, fresh fruits & veggies, whole grain breads & pastas. No more HFC.
If you have back problems, you may consider swimming & trying a relaxed geometry bicycle like an Electra Towne. There's no easy way to get fit & maintain it, but it beats the heck out of laying in a hospital bed wondering what is wrong. Doctor said my liver numbers look good now.

Paul,
Excellent news! You're doing what you need to do to control/manage this! Up to 30% of the US population has some degree of "fatty liver" and the good news is that the liver is self-healing as long as we help it along...
