Here is a good place to start research. I don'r really know the ins & outs of Cohibas.

Have tried them several times while overseas of course.

A box of them is worth about $580 without shipping.

As for the limited editions, they are about the same price for a box of 25, so not cheap either.

You must have good friends! Would be very careful about advertising things like this.

If the ones in the black box are "Gran Reserva" (15 count) then you have something special there. Those are worth about $1500 a box. Just keep in mind that 90% of Cuban Cohibas out there are fakes. There is also a much cheaper (price & quality) US-friendly Dominican variety. The Dominicans will have a black/white label, with the "O" filled in with red. Post good pics of the box/labels (including the bottom stamp) if you can.

Discussing illegal items, albeit minor ones, is still a bad idea on a public forum.

That being said, I've had them while I was in Romania. I had a great night out with one of my co-workers, smoking Cohibas and drinking Romanian beer.

People visiting Canada and Mexico purchase a massive amount of fake Cohibas.

None of us can do this as well as you - spend 10 minutes comparing what you have to this site (in person is the key) and I bet you'll be able to tell

The Ultimate Counterfeit Cuban Cigar Primer

I've never had a Cuban but a cigar store here still has pre-embargo ones that are like 55+ years old!!!

Why would you even think about giving them back? Keep half of them and enjoy them, and sell the rest to finance some holiday things.

That warranty seal on the box looks a little suspect. Any chance you have a UV (black) light? If so, shine it on the seal. There should be a watermark that becomes visible, and the serial number should show the first 2 letters as red, while the remaining numbers show as black.

The more I look at the OP's pics, the more I'm inclined to think these are Fugazis.

1. Warranty seal printing looks off, and is not positioned correctly. Normally the crease is *exactly* in the middle of the crest.
2. I've never seen/heard of "1966-2007 Reservas".
3. Box looks a bit rough.
4. The hologram should only be present on Cohibas bought in Cuba (not intended for export).
5. Cohibas are the most counterfeited cigar in the World, and the Esplendido is the most counterfeited Cohiba.
