Well I got that surgery out of the way....

Glad you're still with us. Heal up, good luck with your gig this weekend.

Shaun @ Tru6 09-16-2010 03:59 AM

it only gets better, rest, rest, rest, you'll be fine in a week.

Thanks Steve. I decided to bail on the saturday show. I got a stand in. I just think it's best to lay low for a while.

targa911S 09-16-2010 04:01 AM

Hey Shaun how are YOU feeling today Mr two days ahead of me?

Shaun @ Tru6 09-16-2010 04:06 AM

Today I woke up and it was stinging quite a lot. Coffee, breakfast, 4 ibuprofen later I'm feeling better.

Seriously, I only had a single, but this seems to be a fast healing surgery as long as you rest. I've been active, too active really, but I can also feel a definite improvement every day. Give it a week with lots of rest and little activity to keep flexible and we should both be AOK.

You are a smart man!
It is too much to expect to move around much in that first week.
Fresh pineapple is suppose to reduce scar tissue and promote healing say my South African friends.
Hope your recovery is trouble free.

Ya know man, I am 42... and I never "discovered" the blues till about 5 days ago... I mean I knew about the blues... heard the blues, but never really gave it much thought or attention... I was listening to an interview with Jimi Hendrix though and to who he listened to yada yada and I said what the hell, I had been watching videos on blues riffs and the sorts and I figured I would start looking at different blues artists videos.... was absolutely blown away... it was an epiphany moment for myself and I have had nothing but blues riffs and progressions stuck in my head ever since....

you will discover more the deeper you dig into it's roots. of course muddy waters is a good place to start.

Will definitely give it a listen to... for some reason I am really liking the more sad sounding music than the upbeat stuff... I am thinking that it is because it sounds more complex to me for some reason.... I have been practicing my riffs quite a bit and my pinky finger feels like it is about ready to fall off...

targa911S 09-16-2010 05:33 AM

You want "dark" blues? Listen to some Robert Cray.

azasadny 09-16-2010 05:35 AM

targa911S 09-16-2010 05:47 AM
