Damn, home grown peaches are good.

Best take some over to Mom's so she can make a pie

Two things I did with peaches, when I had a peach tree in my yard...

Peach daquiries, every single night.
Peach cobbler, not pie.... with ample additions of a premium vanilla ice cream.

It's a wonder that I don't weigh 800 pounds...

There is no substitute for a well made peach pie.

I like peach cobbler too, but really no contest. My sister has an ice cream maker too...

Pastry crust by someone who knows their business, priceless.

Still need to plant a midseason tree, maybe a nectarine or a white peach. Made peach daquiris when the early peaches were in

Peaches fresh off the tree in Bakersfield in the late 50's in 100+ degree weather. You talk about some flavor. I haven't had a good peach since.

I wouldn't even want to waste such a thing if I could ever find it in a pie or ice cream. Although my grandma made some hella cobbler.

Did a business trip in Butters (my 911 coupe) through northern California. Stopped in Corning at a fruitstand on the west side of town and picked up a flat of fresh, sweet smelling peaches. I left the flat in the car while I worked (car was in the shade). When I opened the door to leave, this amazing rush of fresh, ripe and oh-so-sweet peaches engulfed me! My car smelled WONDERFUL!

Say what you want about California, the fresh produce is off the hook!
