I guess where a demand exists someone will try to fill the demand for a price. On a purely intellectual level I can understand stolen goods, drugs, adult prostitution, even corruption. I just can’t get my mind around “selling a child” for any price. That is a crime that should have a slow horrible torturous death to both supplier & customer.

I've always associated Portland, OR with crack and meth. Seems they are very prevalent in that city...

I thought it had been this way for awhile.
I thought in the 90's that Portland was the heroin capital of the country, and many of the addicts turned to prostitution. Doesn't surprise me to see the same thing with meth.

My wife has talked to the FBI about this. It is true. Portland is a major center for human trafficking. From other countries in addition to domestic. Not sure why, could be meth or could be that the area attracts young runaway types. A nasty and little-known aspect of the city.
