Ford F250/350 tow mirror identification help

Hi gang. There's a guy selling a set of tow mirrors he says he got from the Ford dealer. How do I tell if they are genuine Ford mirrors and not a Chinese aftermarket set?

Is their a FOMOCO part number of those?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
S

I'll keep that number handy, but I forgot to mention the mirrors are for 1999-2003 F250 (maybe later).

There are part numbers on them, where they bolt to the door frame I believe. I'd have to unbolt mine to look.

How much does he want, thats a dead give away.

If Ford stay true to what they've always done, the numbers on the part is not the actual part number when looked up.

I just replaced one on my 2005 F350 King Ranch. There is a FORD logo cast into the part that mounts to the door. It's not the blue oval, just a FORD script.

I guess it does have the oval. Here's a pic:

Thats a good price. I am guessing they don't have the turn signals in them.

Not sure about the turnsignal, but the mirrors were bought for a 1999. I don't think they had turnsignals at that point. No heat. I can pick up chinese mirrors on eBay for leas than $200. I just don't want to pay for these to find out I bought $150 eBay mirrors for $195.

I hear ya. I got heated ones with turn signals for my 04 Excursion. They weren't cheap.

Picked up the tow mirrrors today and they are Ford factory mirrors. Brand new, still in the box they were delivered in for $195.

It took me and one of the kidfs 30 minutes to install them and I love them! Can't wait to tow with them.

As I told the wife, "I have a real truck now."

Congrats on the mirror upgrade, but if you don't have a King Ranch dually, you don't have a 'real truck'.
