Thanks for the pics Dave. Naturally I had to work Sunday so I missed the show. If anybody is passing through Pensacola and has never seen the Angels fly they will let you on base and watch them practise during the weeks they are home. Also the Museum of Naval Aviation is definately a to-do thing.

When I was a kid, my dad was stationed in Pensacola. I used to love to see the Blue Angels and the air shows. We also spent some time stationed on an Air Force base in Japan, so I got to see lots of stuff there too.

We have an air show here in Houston. It's actually only about 3-4 miles from my house, but the traffic and crowds are so nasty, that I've never been.

I miss going to air shows. Maybe I should make one of my yearly trips to see my mom near Pensacola coincide with the Blue Angels being there.

My kids are too young and its so hot, I couldn't make them endure an 6- hour air show. Luckily, all of my pics above were in the parking lot of a Target that is literally at the end and to the left of the runway. It provides a unique perspective.
