The Unfair Advantage
Just finished reading this book by Mark Donahue. Wow. I'm sure it's been posted about before, but just want to say for anybody who hasn't read it put it on your to-do list. Awesome read. It's like you're reading the invention of modern racing, and how they stumbled along at times. Makes you realize how primitive it was back in the 60s/70s, as they're just discovering the things we talk about here on Pelican.
Amazon.com: The Unfair Advantage (9780837600697): Mark Donohue, Paul Van Valkenburgh, Mark Donohue: Books ![]() Interesting note... the copy my brother gave me jumped from page 274 to 291. The missing pages included the beginning of his relationship with Porsche! ![]() Cannot recommend this book highly enough!

Great read. Makes you wonder about Porsche when he writes about how untuned the 917 was when he got involved.
