If she's a good (your best) friend, and if she does not seem to be interested in you that way and if she has a boyfriend.... Suck it up, man up, leave it at that.

I never understood the thing of having a girl (female) as a best friend. Can't do guy things with them. You should turn in your man card. The always getting your "yes" thing and idea of insinuating yourself into her choice in life by attempting to split her up from her boyfriend is crap ego stuff. Get a life and get on with it. You must be far below 30. Not trying to be nasty. Just typed down the first things that came to mind.

Not to hammer the OP'er, but your attitude/behavior sounds a little manipulative. No, a lot manipulative. And indicates a hint of control issues in romantic relationships. This, coming from someone who has been a master at that game. Learning that it is not the healthiedst way to approach relationships has been an eye opener for me.

In any event, do you want to be with someone that can be your puppet? Because there may be another puppeteer that can outdo you down the road?

I would never go to this length to get a girl but if I did this would be my strategy:

Step 1: Keep dating until you find the hottest girl you think you can get.
Step 2: Do her.
Step 3: Are you still thinking about your friend? Is so proceed to step 4. If not repeat step 2.
Step 4: Arrange a social meeting with your friend in a completely platonic sense. I suggest Friday Happy Hr.
Step 5: Tell her that you are bringing a few cool people.
Step 6: Find a few cool people. 1 being your new hottie. I suggest 3 minimum.
Step 7: Be there 10-15 mins before your friend. Do 3 shots.
Step 8: When your friend shows up. Be friendly but pay more attention to the hottie. BUT DO NOT OVER DO IT! Touch her hand, back or leg. NO KISSING!

1 of 2 things will happen. She will act completely normal and you have no chance EVER. Or she will be visibly shaken and you are golden.

Either way, you will get your answer, be nicely toasted and get laid. Sounds like a good Friday to me. :D
