Darn Chevy truck needed work!

176,003 miles and it finaly needed brake pads!

I can't belive that an American car would suck so bad that after only 176k miles that it would need new pads!

My Tahoe never needed pads, and I had 110K on it, a majority of it towing.

tranny at 54k I had towed about 20k with the truck! The day prior to the tranny failure I towed up the grapevine full throttle with a 22x8x7 box trailer!

I broke the tranny on a freeway on ramp. I bounced the truck pretty hard with my gas peddle stuck to the floor! the tranny didn't like it!

Fuel pump at 150k and the parking brake release cable at 120k

All in all it's been a damn fine truck and the only service other than oil has been @100k miles

Yea, I just replaced the cooling fan clutch on my 1986 El Camino. It has 288,000 miles. The darn fan clutch could not make it to 300,000. I have rebuilt the transmission twice, but the inside of the engine has never been touched. The heads have never been off. I have owned the Elky for 19 years. It is my daily driver.

I bought some lifetime warranty front brake pads 15 years ago for 14 dollars. I have had to replace them a couple of times but it did not cost a dime more.
