Hedley Lamarr: Meeting adjourned. Oh, I am sorry, sir, I didn't mean to overstep my bounds. You say that.
Governor William J. Le Petomane: What?
Hedley Lamarr: "Meeting is adjourned".
Governor William J. Le Petomane: It is?
Hedley Lamarr: No, you *say* that, Governor.
Governor William J. Le Petomane: What?
Hedley Lamarr: "Meeting is adjourned".
Governor William J. Le Petomane: It is?
Hedley Lamarr: [sighs, then gives the governor a paddleball] Here, sir, play with this.

Blazing Saddles (1974) - Memorable quotes

KevinP73 10-07-2010 01:14 PM

Hedy Lamarr (pronounced /ˈheɪdi/, commonly /ˈhɛdi/) (November 9, 1913 – January 19, 2000) was an Austrian-born American actress of Jewish descent. Though known primarily for her film career as a major contract star of MGM's "Golden Age", she also co-invented an early technique for spread spectrum communications, a key to many forms of wireless communication.[1]

Having trouble finding good photos, though.

No, The Big Sleep, wherein she and Bogey discuss horse-racing. ;)

Woof your rear!

The thread was titled "Classy Dames" and she sure is one.

No need to cut others posts down just because they are not in the same time frame as you are.

FREE SPEECH my friend....and BTW, my time frame goes back further than she does.

And if you are going to criticize my comment then you should do the same to the others, in all fairness.....or did "WOOF" step on sensitive political ground with you?

She put a hell of a show...

Saw her at a concert in May 2007...

She was 80, very classy and still sexy. I wish I had caught her hotel room key :D:eek::D

Myrna Loy

Classy, sexy (in the most subtle way), smart, and funny.

Why pop a vein and yell "free speech?" Joe didn't say anything about your right to say what you want.

BTW, free speech means you can say what you want, but others will be responding the way they want... so, feel free to dish it out, but you're looking real silly when you get your panties in an uproar when someone dishes it back to you.

You knew your "woof" and your "Barbara Bush next" comments were politically provocative when you made them. By doing so, you're showing you're small-minded and highly partisan... and you have disregarded the general rule in here to stay away from politics.

Did you expect your sophomoric comment to get a warm reception?

Yes, Yvonne De Carlo.
Unfortunately, most people only remember her as Lily Munster.

Nothing frightful there, I say.

And my wife thinks Fred Gwynne is famous only from My Cousin Vinny.

actually, it was the posting of Laura Bush on a sexy & classy thread that was politically provocative, maybe small-minded and highly partisan... and disregarded the general rule in here to stay away from politics.

That posting was sophomoric and unlikely to get a warm reception

This is the Classy Dame Picture Thread... there's nothing provocative about posting LB's photo with the comment "pure class" with that thread title.

Let me find a Nancy Pelosi photo... and see if your perspective changes.
