where to get public domain map of the world?

Does anyone know of a specific source? Wanting to do a product here at work. world map, political style, showing major and minor cities as much as possible. major geological features would be great too.

yea can get like a rand mcnally map but copyright reproduction fee is prohibitive

Depending on what your end use will be (reproducing and redistributing? for commercial or .edu?, etc) Creative Commons licensed stuff may work for you.

I have a map of the United States... actual size.
It says, "Scale: 1 mile = 1 mile." I spent last summer folding it.
I also have a full-size map of the world. I hardly ever unroll it.
