Been searching for repeats as I only caught part of it. Apparently it was first aired on 10/21 with a few repeats. Nothing up for the future that I can find.

That's why I started the Top Gear thread. Just a heads up.

I would have posted this last night before the show but don't have Internet at home.

And my DVR doesn't have that feature... however I did pause the show so I could make dinner.

It aired way before 10/21. More like April or May. That is why they are not repeating it so much right away.

I thought this was a new season program. That's the way it was told on Rennlist.

I watched it and enjoyed it a lot. It was interesting to find out all of the ins & outs of making the car. I kind of hoped they would have more on the early 911's, maybe contrasting older methods with newer methods of manufacture.

There are tons of videos on YouTube documenting the ass'y process of the 60's and 70's. Not so much that I've heard of since the Boxster era began. So, last night's shots of the engine being assembled were cool. They showed some shots in the upholstery shop, but those are all the same from manuf'r to manuf'r.

I seem to remember that every 911 was driven out on the track post build, but not anymore.

I poked around the Nat Geo website (not very user friendly I might add) and couldn't find the Porsche episode being re-run any time soon.

However they do have Ferrari, Harley Davidson, Corvette, and Peterbuilt shows coming up.

I particularly liked the automation of the Porsche factory. The robots moving parts around the factory from place to place. And the warehouse that automatically prompts the worker what parts to load on the cart.

I don't show it re-running, but I see the Ferrari and Lamborghini episodes on the 29th at 6 and 7am.
