Accepting the truth is another issue. Island can stand at the waterin' station allll day long. Water, water everywhere, and not a drop to drink.;) We've gotten into the Greek Gods brand yogurt with honey. That stuff is killer with fresh raspberrys and granola. Yogurt has the beneficial bacteria that helps clean the sludge out of G.I track. I've been getting into Culver Burger also. Only fast food burger around that tastes like a burger. Pricey, but real. I think the micro-chains that get their ingredients from less mainstream sources will pick up marketshare, and thus force the big-chain R&D guys to start adding some "creative" chemicals to get back their customers. Geesh, why not fix their suppliers instead? |

Yogurt with live cultures has beneficial micro-organisms that help out-compete many nasties in the GI tract, and might possibly synthesize some beneficial nutrients for our bodies.

Interesting update from Gizmodo:
http://gizmodo.com/5682815/the-truth-behind-the-everlasting-happy-meal-no-burgers-that-size-rot?skyline=true&s=i Whole story here: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2010/11/the-burger-lab-revisiting-the-myth-of-the-12-year-old-burger-testing-results.html?ref=carousel |
Not a big deal guys.
I've seen decorators furnish homes with bagels, cakes, french bread, dried and coated with spray varnish. Doesn't rot or decompose once dried. |
buy a beef tenderloin, trim off the side piece, cut into pieces and send through #12 chile grind. Make patties, freeze then when u need them throw on grill..... best ever:) and no BS in them, then cook your fillets for now.....

The Burger Lab: Revisiting the Myth of The 12-Year Old McDonald's Burger That Just Won't Rot (Testing Results!) | A Hamburger Today He made a burger the same size as the Happy Meal burger out of "home-ground fresh all-natural chuck" and it didn't decompose either. A larger home-made burger and a McDonald's Quarter-Pounder both did, the same amount. Quote:

This thread got me interested, so I looked up what is in a McDs burger. McDs is pretty open about their ingredients, and I don't think they could lie about it (given how many people are always gunning for them). From what I could tell, McDs hamburger patties are 100% pure ground beef, with nothing added to them except a bit of salt for seasoning. I don't know exactly what "normal" bread has in it, but the McDs bread doesn't seem to contain anything extraordinary for "normal" white bread. So, a McDs burger doesn't seem to me to have anything evil about it, it's just meat, bread, cheese, etc. |
100% pure ground beef
remember, ground hooves, entrails, etc. are all part of a "beef" |

McDs only buys beef from USDA approved facilities. The description of what they use is "100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders." |

McLovin, don't defend McD's food. It's marginal at best. I'm sure the white bread has lard in it. And sugar. |

Honestly, this is simply bad science used to forward an agenda, and because some folks have an axe to grind, it is accepted without question. |
