Help identifying cars please?
My brother scanned some old photos of my grandparents (Clyde & Wilda -- I know, very unfortunate names!), & three of the pics have old cars in them. I am curious what kind of cars they are, so I am hoping the Pelican brain trust can help solve the mysteries.
Here are the three pics. If it helps, they were from the Millersburg, OH area, & I know there were quite a few car companies headquartered in Cleveland (100 miles or so north of Millersburg) before the Great Depression, so I suppose it is likely that they could be cars made in Cleveland. Any help would be appreciated. I may also send the photos to the Crawford Auto Museum in Cleveland that is focused to a great extent on cars manufactured in Cleveland. Thanks in advance for your help. Photo 1 (dated "about 1924"): ![]() Photo 2 (undated): ![]() Photo 3 (undated): ![]()

I guess they are too old and/or too obscure for this crowd.

I'm pretty sure that the 2nd pic is a Dodge, slanted rounded grille. No idea what year.
Hemmings or even H.A.M.B would be a better place to post. Keep us posted, though. (My GP's name's were Clarence & Pearl, BTW. It was just the times!)

I think the first one is a Lafayette.
I think the second is a Nash 41- B- not positive at all though. The slanted windshield makes me think that. And I think the last one is a Durant. Just my guesses- it's really hard to tell from the picture and I'm not the pro from Dover. |
