Here in east S.D. County, it has been misting for the past couple of days. Today it has been raining off & on most of the day. My rain gauge says 1 inch, which isn't bad. I saw the lightening illustrated on the weather map yesterday and was amazed at the concentration up toward Orange Co.

Really? Cause that WAS exactly what I was going to do. 5 to 10 to 710 to 405 exit Lakewood Blvd. It's that or down the 405 at 6:30 AM or so. Is the 710 that bad going south in the AM?

Been many moons since I traveled that way... I think they were doing construction... dirt pluged the storm drains and the freeway flooded.
You should be OK traveling south.

If it rains hard, the 710 always floods. Biggest problems with the 710 are terrible road surface, narrow lanes and HEAVY semi truck traffic. The 110 is a somewhat better alternate route. Go 5 to 10 to 110 to 405.
