Question Whats your latest "Good News"

The company I work for raised some money so it looks like I'm secure till mid 2012, the 10 year old's on a scoreing streak at hockey, 14 points in the last 3 games, 9 goals & 5 assists

I was given another week of vacation and 2 more "floater days" even though I have been with the company just over a year.

My son is not taking any meds for "ADHD" and is doing just fine, at school and home.

My wife and little guy are out of town so I was able to get a boatload of work done at the house yesterday. More of the same today.
Flames won a game. (not getting too use to that)
Flames beat the Oilers. (makes it even more sweet)
Canucks are off to a great start.

I got a job offer in Charleston. Might be done renovating the house in time for the move, and come out pretty well from the sale because of all the hard work that's been put into it over the last few years.

My mother's medical test results came back very good, considering what they could have been...

i got the wooden storm windows on the house for the 40th year w/o falling off the ladder or breaking any glass. I have to bite the bullet and get aluminum storms next year, this is just crazy.

Always a nice to have that done. I'm thankful for small favors.

I still have a job. Downside is there's talk of another round of layoffs (due to healthcare premium increases) just in time for Christmas. Doncha just love it? A big contract award is being announced in about 3 weeks so if we get that it'll probably be fine. If not... Well... Let's just say I don't want to think about it right now.

NE beat Baltimore so that's cool.

I'm still on the right side of the grass, so I'm counting my blessings.

Just got off the phone with my daughter, a freshman at ASU.

She sounded great, is happy and told me how much she misses and loves us. She had her first horse show riding for ASU against USC. They rode in Burbank.

Two seconds in her two classes, 17 riders in each. She is delighted.

Congrats! That's a hell of an achievement. I can't even imagine how much something like that must affect your perspective on life.
