Troy Gentry, what a loser.

I'm not a fan of animal rights groups(the folks that reported this), but I'm a hunter and proud of it, and I HATE candy asses that shoot animals on a ranch and pretend their hunters. What a tool.

Yep. Still can't stand the mention of him even though the incident took place quite a while ago. He's about the most cowardly person I can think of- kind of fitting considering the types of people typically involved with today's country music. Bunch of pansy-arse glammer hounds. All of them.

Someone please cut this fuhkker's nuts off and feed them to him.
When he has finished eating them, drown him in a bucket of bleach with his eyes taped open.
And bury him face down.

Don't hold back, tell us how you feel about it.

I did not bother to watch the video. I can't imagine it is much fun to kill a pet.

I have never heard of the guy. I hope this haunts him forever.

Never saw the appeal of the fence/ranch hunts either.

I don't mind the bird "canned hunts" every now and again--especially if working dogs or bringing younger hunters, but those deer/exotic/whatever "ranch" hunts--forget it.

Dude, it's spelled "looser" as in he's a huge LOOSER.
Get it right

Shoooting a tame or captive animal just for the "sport" and then having it stuffed shows that he has no manhood and is probably a sign he needs to come out of the closet.

But, killing animals for food is different, tame or wild. How many hamburgers have you eaten lately? How many chickens have you eaten?
I guess it's OK to kill a cow or chicken but not bambie.

Just like the animal rights wackos get all excited when a dolphin gets accidentally killed during the process of killing millions of tuna for food. No one seems to get all excited about the tunas.

Never forget that we are a race of carnivores.

I have no shame eating farm animals that were raised for food. Shooting tame bear has nothing to do with food.

If you choose to avoid meat, that is fine. Just don't get between me and my meal.

Then let's pretend he bear was raised for food. It's all the same, it's all killing. There is no justification.

But I'll give you this: we all do things that are unjustified. So whether you mask your meat eating by buying in a package or having someone else do the deed, it's killing.

BTW, I'm sure a lot of animals die to support my existence even though I won't kill and don't eat flesh. I guess out of sight, out of mind.

killing a tame bear was illegal? or claiming it was wild was the illegal part?

anyways, the dude was an idiot. blackeye for hunters all around. his music sucks too.

he has money. with money, killing a wild bear is relatively easy.

We call that a "pet and shoot" around here. At least if it's an elk, you can sorta justify it being about the food. Killing a cow in a meat packing plant or killing an elk at a "ranch" is pretty much the same thing.

In the case of a bear though, it has nothing to do with sport (as there is no sport in it) or food ('cause you sure aint gonna eat it). It's just about macho BS. And then he lies about it. What an arse.

If you are shameful, that's your business.

I am not "shameful" so the "we" part is not accurate.

Check out the national geographic channel sometime. Animals eat other animals to survive. It's natural, it's normal.
If you prefer not to eat meat that's your business and you should keep it just that, you business.
Passing judgement on me because I am normal and eat meat is probably not a good move on your part.

Softy in my old age...no longer hunt. Main factor was that my hunting buddy died in a mill accident. When we went "hunting" it wasn't really about the kill...

Still hanging on to my rifles, though. Never know when they might come in handy.
