Back Easter's, How Much is a Log of Taylor Pork Roll?
I remember as a kid relatives would bring it to the midwest for my dad, a native Philadelphian. It had that fabric casing, we'd slice it thin and put it in the skillet for a few minutes, then put it on toast with mustard and onions. Dang that stuff is good.
I'd gladly Paypal somebody if they could send me some... |

Love the stuff. My dad would cut 3 or 4 slits around the edges to keep them from curling in the skillet. We called it Taylor's Ham, though.
We can get it at Central Market here in Austin. |

Oh my god man can't you just order it from the link he provided you, and have it shipped in like . . . a day?
|
Hi all, my fiance and I would gladly ship some out for anyone! We are just outside of Philly in NJ. It's the only breakfast meat I eat... We can buy the big 6x9in roll for about 14.00 Just send the word and it's yours.:)

I can buy it here at the local Fry's (Kroeger in other areas).
|
Hmmm.... Dad's coming out for Thanksgiving. You think it will keep on the flight?

Different Fry's.

I had a smoked pork loin someone got me that was out freakin' standing. Best piece of meat I have had in a long time. Nuetske's, or something like that.

Nothing beats Taylor ham, egg and cheese for breakfast. A Jersey classic. |
Kaos- I don't think it would keep with out being cold for a flight from the East Coast to Kali, but nothing a cheap collapsible lunch box and a gel pack cant handle.
I grew up in Wildwood. Our boardwalk had two Taylor pork roll stores back in the 70's. They would plop a 1/4" thick slice of pork roll on the flame top wit cheese and put on a lightly toasted kaiser roll. Top dat wit a dollop of katsup. Heaven!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/angel.gif I think I see angels. |
