Best source for HID's?

I'm getting a set for my dad's Honda Passport for his b-day, but don't know where to get them anymore. CQ Lights shows up as a hacked website when I try to go back to them. eBay is overloaded and I have no idea whom to buy from there. Who's the best source these days?

He's not an HID guy and preached against them last I spoke with him.

well installing HID's on a car that didn't have HID's from the factory is....not DOT legal.

that been said, i've had good experiences with DDM kits. a

Not real concerned with legalities here. I've run HID's in all my vehicles for many years with no issue. I got my last kit from DDM for my bike. But I picked them up in person, as I happened to be in San Diego at the time. Otherwise, they want $20 for shipping, which is insane.

I think it's more of that he's not a fan of putting HID bulbs into conventional housings not designed for them. His concern is the horrendous beam pattern that results from this.

What does he recommend? I have to admit, when it comes to auto lighting, I'm in the dark ages. I hate anything blue.

He doesn't recommend HID's and that's really what I'm looking for here. I don't need advice on what to buy, just where to buy it.

All my HID kits have looked super and were the best money I ever spent on my vehicles. As long as you get something close to 4500k, where the color is close to natural sunlight, it doesn't look ricey at all. They sure beat the hell out of Sylvania Silverstars, last a lot longer and are almost cheaper these days. No downside.

Most of the HID install kits being sold that I've seen and read about have been either cheesy and/or counterfeit labeled. If you have found a good supplier and are happy with the product, the $20 in shipping can be considered "insurance".

I decided against HID and went with 100w bulbs and relays. While marginally legal, they don't scream RICE to the local cops.
