My manager (13 year USN veteran) and I (9 year USN veteran) had lunch at the Appleby's ibn Okemos, MI today. The place was packed with veterans and we were given a special menu, we ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad and Ice Tea. They came by and shook our hands and took pictures and it was a very nice lunch! We left a tip the same amount the meal would have been and thanked the wait staff and Manager.

I thanked many guys today during my work day. Lots of Vietnam and Korea, only 1 was from the WW2 era.

Every one of them seemed genuinely appreciative of this "youngin" giving thanks.

Many of the older guys reminded me of my dad. Thanks for serving, Dad!!! ( I miss you.)

Thanks to all of my Pelican brothers who served our great country.
