19K for an east coast 72 911T survivor. 5 years on, no rust, no surprises!

Got wasted one night and blasted off $4800 for a Jeep 700 miles away on E-Bay. Probably more dumb than impulsive though.

I too have bought a Porsche impulsively on E bay. Put a stupid low bid down, and a few days later , damnit, another project , then had to figure out how to get it from Utah, to Pa. I wont be doing that again. Although , it was a good deal, and I made out nicely in the long run.

I've spent thousands at Amazon or on eBay on a single purchase, but I wouldn't call them impulsive. They were all carefully planned, budgeted for, and discussed with the spouse.

I've probably spent maybe $50 tops, impulsively online.

I keep spreadsheets of things I intend to buy online...

At one point my "intended purchases at Pelican" spreadsheet topped $17,000. I don't think I ever ended spending that much...maybe half. I don't want to know.

Truly "impulsive" as in I wasn't planning for/looking for the item before I saw it online - maybe $100-150?

I spent about the same, on the 101 projects 911 car...
