Terry's job v3.0

I was just offered and accepted a position at the new Porsche of Fort Myers openening December 1st 2010!

I know the team and should be a great place. Very low pressure, friendly guys. Love the idea of be part of a brand new store. The focus will be on low mileage preowned as well as new Porsches. The Store is gorgeous.

......did I mention Derek Bell (thats right LeMans baby) is a part owner and will be there all the time! Met him Wednesday, super nice guy.

What happened to the used car store? That seemed like a cool gig.

Private financing drying up plus change in priorities by the owner, basically came down to my own income potential. Plus I get full benifits and 401k.

The new Pcar store will have 3 times the inventory, plus performance service & the benefit of inventory exchange with the 5 other highline stores the company owns (Bentley, Ferrari, Aston, Rover). So our inventory will include more than just pcars.

It was a no brainer for me.

Totally understood. Sounds like a lot of fun, what car guy wouldn't love playing with Porsches, Ferraris, etc on a daily basis?

Terry, I don't know what you were doing before you decided to go out on your own, but it seems like in 2 years or less and you've earned a good spot.

Terry's approach is slightly more realistic, not many of us have the means to afford a new Porsche or Ferrari. At least not without selling my house, wife and kids.

With any luck I'll be able to do both.

good luck......personally i like playing with the older air cooled 911's, i doubt you'll see much of them at a dealer......but, give me a few more years at this game and we'll see what direction i take with it, i've really gotten good with the 996's........and am getting familiar with the direct injection cars

I'm in sales not a tech. I couldn't imagine doing mechanical work on the 997s and like.

I've heard that the 996s are becoming more DIY. Would be neat to see some hot rodded version come out soon.
