Thermos Recommendation
I like coffee. I like a cup of joe on the way to work in the morning. It's a long commute so it needs to be insulated well. Have a preference? I like handles. Be able to hold a good bit of liquid. 16 fluid ounces sounds about right.
Thanks guys.

This is what I got my wife for her birthday. Double wall stainless steel. Genuinely keeps something hot or cold for hours. If she takes ice water to work, there are ice cubes still in the bottle the next day. Price is not bad. You don't have to baby it either.

A huge tip for using a thermos is to put hot water into it for a few minutes before the coffee. I will usually just use hot tap water and let it sit long enough for the coffee to brew. I will make the difference of staying hot for a couple hours or staying hot for day or two. Same w/ ice water for cold drinks.

Soooooo.....did you give up the Red Bull?
![]() How long is your commute that a regular old plastic travel mug won't keep a cup hot for the trip? Or do you want the coffee for later in the morning at the office? Just in case, I asked my son if he would give up his Buzz Lightyear thermos for you. He said no. Sorry.

I would suggest looking at an item aimed at the construction guys in that case.
I've seen them but don't recall where.

How long do 50 Houston miles take out of curiosity?
My 14 Chicago miles are 25 minutes in the morning (at the office by 6 or 630) and 55-90 minutes in the evening (leaving the office between 5-6pm). I drink a can of diet coke in a coozie 2-3 mornings per week.

James, I am a sipper.
Garrett, Usually the 50 miles takes me about 70 minutes. It can be done quicker but not by much. I wish I could avg a mile a minute. Sadly it's just not possible. Edit: Dude you are working some long hours. m-f? Slight hijack...I am dating a chick that graduated from the same school as you. I must say this school sounds like fun.
