Can you recommend an air freshener for the car?

I'm going to be doing a ride along with my boss soon (female) and my car smells like a55. Problem is most air fresheners give me a sinus headache. I can stand my funk but those rear view mirror pine trees make me cry. Can you recommend an air freshener for an allergy sufferer?

+1 on that. Worked well with pot smoke in the car - or so I've heard...

Ozium works well, but it all depends on why your car smells... I smoke cigars and pipes in my 944, and I have surprisingly good results from regularly using a nice leather cleaner on all hard surfaces, vacuuming the car and keeping a rotating cast of dryer sheets under the seats.

Cleaning the carpet goes a long way since it really soak up odors (as does cloth seats and to some degree, headliners). If possible, lightlyshampoo the carpet and then air it out till totally dry. After that, use one of the sprays. If the odor is a musty smell, look for odor absorbant remedies.

I'm not sure. I looked it up before I posted, and saw several variations.

I keep one of those trees under the seat of the 944. Its sits quite a bit and gets stale smelling otherwise....

Unwrap a bar of hotel soap and leave it in the back seat armrest or under the seat, amazing how it will change the odor in the car, not overpowering and it doesn't have the soap odor. This works!

If you get stopped at DUI check point, you can always take a bite out of the soap.

Fresh coffee grounds will absorb odors.

Have seen realtors put a can out for open houses.

This, bounce/dryer sheets under the front seats is not bad, cleaning interior is a must if it is stanky

Buy a new car? Of course, that might make the boss think your pay is too high?

Anyone try the chemical brothers air freshener?

The soap idea sounds like a good one!
