I use the dove scalp care shampoo still now to keep it away and feel like it’s been really helping.

No changes in stress or anything like that.

My new post wasn't just about psoriasis which I've had on my scalp my entire life and which I manage just fine, but rather about increased psoriasis issues in the last couple weeks at the same time mother who's 200 miles away also got increased issues like we've never had before.

I'm wondering if there's some external cause. Of course the recent chemical fires in Houston come to mind.

Not necessarily relevant to the most recent questioner, but the best OTC anti-dandruff shampoo I've used by a country mile is Medi-Dan. Smells kind of nasty, but works. I get it at a local beauty supply store. Despite this, I am no more beautiful than I was before. , You can also get it at your online Jeff Bezos conglomerate, etc.

Somewhat related anecdote.

Speaking with my brother one day and he's complaining he can't find a good shampoo. Everything he tries leaves his hair dry and brittle.

I asked if he'd tried a product for Dry Hair.

He replies, "why would I do that, it's already too dry, I don't want it drier!"

Duuude, really?
