Bummer! After watching the series I read all I could on him. He was truly a hero.
Winters died on January 2, 2011. He requested a private, unannounced funeral service, which was held on January 8, 2011 WWII vets deaths are estimated at over 1000+ per day. It is estimated that by 2035, they will be gone. If you know one, thank them!!
