How about an ancient film camera?

Not mine... Don't even ask what this thing is worth

Peter,

Believe that this is an M4 Leica and while not worth tens of thousands, its not cheap either. Appears to have been used by a press person or possibly wartime reporter.

It's not that I can't afford it, it's that I'm just not willing to spend $1200 on it. If it were 5-600, it'd be in my closet right now

I want that typewriter! I wish that had rotary phones that had all the feel and sound of the old ones but just would connect like the new.

Mike,

I have an old bakelite phone in my house with the rotary dial that works great. Still has the fabric covered cord and is connected to the system using a modern plug-in.

My grandma had a bright red rotary phone in her office when I was younger. I can remember trying to call someone on it when I was 7 or 8... Definitely a learning experience....

After this last weekend, I'd really like a Bobcat "UTV" with a front mount snowblower. However, coming in around $20k, it really doesn't make much sense.

Still would be really cool, though!

Actually it's an M3. (film counter)

An M3 with the black paint Summilux (f 1.4) should be worth somewhere around 20 grand.
Who knows for sure???

There was 4 makers in the States for the M1 Garand

Springfield made about 3,500,000

Winchester made about 500,000

Harrington & Richardson made about 500,000

International made 350,000 and it's thought that most of them are in Iran

I have 1 ea. of the top three. I have 4 sons and I want to get the set. and when each of the kids are worthy of one I want to have 1 to give them

That and I'll take a 908
