Stupid W-9 Law

We all know that the law requires W9 forms to be provided to just about everyone anymore. Without getting into the politics of the insane tax laws I have a simple question.

We have our customers call all the time looking for a W-9 from our company.

Can any out you see a problem with putting a PDF of our corporations W9 on our web site?

That way when a customer calls and needs a W9 we can tell them to just download it from our web site.

Can you see a downside to doing it that way?

I deal with a lot of non-profits and many of them put their 501(c)(3) on their websites.

Thats a good idea - we get the same request for every contract.

Don't make it easy to find on the website, though. Make it so you can send them a link.

Why? I figure we can tell them just go to our web site and look for the link. Whay make them search for it or spend the time sending them an email.
