Childhood's End
I thought it was one of Clarke's best - would make a great movie. Come to find out there was a movie made! Childhood's End! Something tells me this isn't the same thing...

Yea, I suspect the Clarke novel is unrelated to that movie.
I would love to see a proper movie of the Clarke version. We all know some Hollywood hack would butcher the plot.
