Snow in Los Angeles

Took the Targa out to Malibu for lunch and got this on the way home.

Not much by mid-west and East Coast standards, but in the 24 years I've lived in this city this is only the second time I've seen it snow at my house, about 1,500 feet elevation.

It must be Photoshopped. You guys ALWAYS tell us how perfect the weather is in CA. On every NE or Midwest snow thread, some annoying twit in CA posts a beach picture or tells us how he's wearing shorts etc etc. So I call foul.

I remember in snowing in La Verne when I lived there in '87. It didn't stick at all, and melted as soon as it hit pavement, grass, etc.

I live in Los angeles and I had to put long pants on today. Even a sweater! Jerry Brown needs to fix this! I do not pay sky high property taxes for this kind of weather - I mean think of the children.

Sux that Alaska is getting all the warming "benefits" while we're mostly getting randomness in So Cal.

Tragic. But rolling on the floor can warm you up.

The warm weather is up this way. We haven't had a normal winter in like 3 years.
Split a cord of wood today in just a tee shirt ( i did have pants on)...40 some odd degrees....snow is all but gone.

Bright side, after a little rain you get a little rainbow:

That's a shame

In other news, we (Michigan) had a 2-day thaw melting all of our snow - dry roads and 40 degree temps on New Years Day! Beautiful weather for a drive

Here in the Great White, all of our snow (all 3 inches of it) melted since New Years. But I expect better weather in the southwest. I will be in Vegas & then LA for the next 2 weeks & I am hopeful for a little warmer.

I had to stop and put the wind deflectors on the Road King because my toes were getting cold. I also discovered my hand grip heaters aren't working, must be a fuse.

But neither snow or sleet or ... smoke on water or whatever will keep us from carrying on .....
