Stanford/Virginia tech...

Nearing the end of the game, one of the broadcast guys wondered aloud...if the Ducks beat Stanford, just how good ARE the Ducks?

GO AUBURN!

Well, Oregon is ranked #1 or 2, and Stanford is ranked #5. I'm just bummed that the Stanford band was banned.

Randy...sorry, but the who U of O arrogance just frosts me...not just this team, the entire "country club" U of O attitude...it's been there as long as I can remember...long before Phil Knight begain dropping his millions on the school.

GO AUBURN!

Sorry Paul, but I say GO DUCKS. Gotta root for the guys from the Pac-10.

IMO, the Ducks ARE that good. It should be a fun game to watch, though not nearly as entertaining as watching the Cardinal take it to VT in the second half yesterday.

I thought the play near the end of the game when Stanford put something like 5 guys in motion 3 TIMES in the same play was priceless. Reminded me of some of the scurrying around the LSJU marching band does at halftime. Thought the VT defensive coordinator was going to blow a gasket, though VT did defend it for virtually no gain. They weren't able to figure out Luck to Fleener at all.

I heard all the players and coaches drive Mustangs.

Bizarro world... I'm a native So Cal boy... married a Oregon girl... now I'm a ducks fan.

Paul is a Oregon boy... pulling for Auburn.

Paul, maybe you should come down to So Cal and hang with the USC crowd to get your perspective back.

re the entire "country club" U of O attitude

I don't really see that. Most faculty I know here think it is a pretty podunk place. I don't know too many students - the one I do know don't seem to have that attitude.

UO IS the state's lead university. That's just the way these things work -- except for states that have just one university, or where the main univ. is the Ag. school too.
