I had 3 fords before moving on to P-cars. Best decision I ever made.

I had four Porsches before buying my first Mustang. Best decision I ever made.

We all know about the S, but what were the other 3?

Seriously, does anyone with the exception of Paul really give a fuch about a new Mustang? My 4Runner with the V8 sounds as good as the car in that audio clip. Mustang = rental car.

I rented one of those in Hawaii. My 02 explorer handled better.

Seriously... I like the sound of a 4 banger reving up... but maybe I have been to too many superbike races in the 80's

Peter Egan...do you ever read his stuff in R&T? His personal driver is an '09 Bullitt Mustang.

Peter Egan Side Glances Column The Road to Santa Fe

"Yes, I know de Vaca didn’t wear buckskin, but he might have been able to skip all the hot, clanking armor if he’d owned a green Bullitt Mustang with a/c and could have made the trip in less than three days on scenic 2-lane roads. Which is what Barb and I did this past September."

All bought new except the 1972 911S:

1966 912 Irish Green
1969 912 Light Ivory
1970 911T Light Ivory

Irish Green 1972 911S, bought with 7,000 on it's odo in 1974, after having seen the 1974 911. As it looked before off to Istanbul in 2007. Poor Evren knew not what I was doing to him...the anxiety of somebody pranging a never dinged car with original paint.

But really, my secret lust over the years was to have a 944.

Odds are VERY slim that you rented a Bullitt model. To compare a Bullitt model to a rental Mustang is like comparing an early 911S to a 944.

I'm glad Paul is enthusiastic about his car.

It saves me from having to look at pictures of average looking women playing billiards.

We have a Cobra, a GT500, and a few non-uber MuscleStangs in the office parking garage.

All are driven by women. Take that as you will.

Yeah and I also read his column in Cycle World. Also read his books. His personal driver changes every few months and whatever he is driving/riding at the time he admits is "the greatest car/motorcycle in the world." So what.

I enjoy Paul's posts, my brother has a Bullitt and it is a pretty nice car. There is another running around town, and I always notice the exhaust note before I see the car.

This is getting old. I defend Paul's right to post this on a 'regular basis', he is harmless. I won't complain, I just won't be reading it any more.

I don't know what that has to do with Paul's love for posting pictures of women playing billiards.

BS. You are really sucking on the Ford marketing tit for all it is worth. A different paint code and numbered strut tower brace doesn't turn your Mustang into some world beating supercar. I bet you are one of those guys that was happy to pay some ridiculous $10k 'market adjustment' just to be able to say that you bought one of the umpteen special edition Mustang appearance packages.
