iPhone and Mac Calendar syncing help needed

Hello,

I am in the dog house again because I synced my wife's iPhone to her Mac and promptly lost all the new calendar entries she added to her iPhone. Do you guys know how to setup Itunes so that when you sync the iPhone and Mac, that the iPhone overwrites the Mac calendar?

She is pissed. I may be following Tom to the florist.

Thanks,
Neil

I think you can "restore from a backup" to get the stuff back on the phone,

IF the most recent backup is new enough that it has her stuff on it.

Otherwise, the stuff is probably gone.

I can't offer any advice on how to get them back, but once you have everything set up I would recommend setting up an automatic sync to both gmail and yahoo calendar accounts.

Even if you don't use the email accounts, it's a good way to have redundant backups for free. For me it is "florist prevention".

Some info here: iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer

BackUp/Sync - iPhone data to overwrite the Macbook data - not the other way around - MacRumors Forums

Do you use mobileme? I have to admit the iCal sync has been a pita over the years and they still don't have that as seamless as it should/could be.
