Just wanted to pass on some information about getting any undeveloped rolls of Kodachrome developed before it is too late.
December 30th is the last day that Dwaynes Photo in Kansas will process Kodachome. A trusted name in photo processing for over 50 years - Dwayne's Photo I have about 40 rolls I found from old F1 races. I thought they were bad because I didn't get them processed right away. Since I have done more research they may come out okay with slight color shift. I think I can adjust for that in Photoshop however. Here is a story Tom Eblen wrote for the Lexington-Herald Leader Tom Eblen: Goodbye, Kodachrome, and thanks for the memories | Neighbors | Kentucky.com

How did you do it? They want $5 a roll to put on a disk and developing 40 rolls at $10.00 a roll is going to cost a fortune...well over $400.00

Sad. I never shot slide film myself, but still.
The good news is, Kodachrome and some other specific films aside, film photography is alive and well. There is enough of a market to support some small specialist companies. Film will never die, well not for generations at least. No more than canvas and oil paint died when photography took over the portrait and recording role, over a hundred years ago. It just became an "art" medium and you can still buy lots of oil paints today. And there is enough film camera gear out there for many generations of photographers.
