Radio code

I have the original Blaupunkt radio that came in my SC, and it has coded out. (it was removed by the PO) My regular sources for codes does not have any info for a radio this old, and google is no help. Does anybody have any sources for this info? I would like to reinstall it.
Thanks.
P.S. I posted this in OT instead of tech so that the BMW guys may see it as well.

Long shot, but did you look through the owner's manual packet. I've seen code cards in there as well as codes hand-written. No joy contacting Blaupunkt?

Are you sure that's the original radio? Unless my memory has gone south, coded radios were used much later than 1982.

What radio is it?

Steve, yeah I looked. I have the giant road map piece of paper that came with the radio but the cards are missing, and no joy from the manufacturer.
JR, you may be right about it being original 82. It is just the one that the PO kept when he removed it for a newer model.
It is a malibu CR42

That's not the radio from an '82. I'm pretty sure it's one that was sold through the aftermarket. I'd try Blaupunkt again, or call one of the larger radio repair facilities that advertise on the net.

Again they don't go back that far. This is an old one but clean as the rest of my car. I know, buy another one and start over, but this has gotten personal.
