Rika, you never cease to amaze me at what a Class Act you really are. Whether it be your response to one of us that loses a beloved pet, or just being completely open, and honest about your feelings after a horrible accident.

Man Dies In East Side Motorcycle Crash

POSTED: Monday, January 17, 2011

SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio police say a man died early Monday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and wrecked it.

Sgt. Daniel Gonzales, with the San Antonio Police Department, said the wreck happened around 7 a.m. on Loop 410 in the median near Rigsby Road.

Gonzales said the motorcyclist lost control, hit a wire guard rail and was thrown from the bike.

Officers at the scene said speed may have been a factor.

"We've got witnesses that say he was going more than 100 mph at one point, further back on the highway," Gonzales said. "Other witnesses say he was moving in and out of traffic, lost control on the slick streets, went into the guard rail, and lost his life."

Gonzales said fog may have also been a factor and that the man was not wearing a helmet.

As of noon Monday, his identity had not been released.

Very sorry to hear this. FWIW, His problems are over, and that may be how he wanted it.

Dark out, foggy, slick roads, speeding, no helmet. Was the outcome in question?
