The Irony is it's a Chinese website and they are just as bad. A bit of the pot calling the kettle black here.

Is that their custom to just let the people return to nature in a natural way?

I'm thinking you won't need to be reminded.

No, typical Hindu burial involves cremation. Keep in mind the country is vastly overpopulated, not an excuse though.

Did you read this comment?
"Actually, this is exactly how America does it, using violence to beat the Indians [Native Americans] to death, pushing the Asian, African, and poor out into the country, running the poor white people into the surrounding outskirts of the cities. America’s police are even more terrible than China’s chengguan. If you’re within two meters of a police officer, you have to raise your hands, otherwise American police have the right to shoot you dead." Some people have bizarre notions of life in America. I wonder where they get that nonsense.

That's just nasty. And to think that some of the brightest minds come from India.

I have a friend who reluctantly followed his wife on a vacation to India. Upon returning, they both said they would never return, under any circumstance.

This is nothing new. I remember seeing similar images in a magazine back in the 80s.
Is it possible the Chinese are showing us a distorted image of India??? God knows they try and justify their own various forms of humane rights violations. China: Really big and very complicated country with some very unique problems that never see the light of day because of their totalitarian government. India: Also really big and very complicated country with some very unique problems that are seen by people outside of their country because they have a democratic government with a free press. It's a beautiful country and I love the people. They're just like us. They want the same things as us but and unlike us they make do with what they have and just get on with living the best way they can. If you go there it's easy to see the beauty of the place and the people... ![]()

I have yet to go to India but my gf is Indian so it's only a matter of time.
It's very concerning though that both India and China have such a population explosion and are so close go each other. Thankfully, the Himalayas are between the two countries. |

I'll never go there, never wanted to go there, and so be it. It's so strange in this world that what we saw can be daily life. Those pictures, to me, seem so odd in this day and age. My BIL went there 5 years ago and has the same type of pics, very very sad. Maybe it's only a small section of the population.

I went once, sickest I've ever been in my life after staying three days. It's amazing to see the difference in the palatial business parks built vs. the living conditions of those in the lower classes.

I have been to India 6 times. My wife is Indian.
Like many things, someone can show you a few photos on the internet, and you can judge an entire nation based on those photos. Judging India by looking at photos of Varnasi is like judging the USA by looking at Detroit. India is not the United States. But the pace of development there is a astonishing. I have only been going for about 7 years, and the country has changed completely. Every time I go back, some new bit of modernity has taken root. Belittle the Indians all you like. Seems kind of shallow to me.
