I am not all that familiar with the story, but it looks like your perserverance has paid off. Congrats!

AZAirCooled 01-22-2011 08:57 AM

I knew nothing of these crimes. But it bothers me greatly when criminals appear to have more rights and protections under the law than thier victims.

After being convicted of these crimes, I don't understand why the criminal's identity must be protected and not the victim's.

I want to thank those who spent thier time and energy to assist law enforcement in taking this criminal off the street. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

Mechanics skills can be used in so many ways to legally create income. I hope this guy "gets it" after his incarceration. Unfortunately it seems people who screw over others are generally inclined to do so. If they like it and keep doing it, I'm comfortable paying to keep them locked up away from the rest of us.

He actually was good at being a P car wrench and did some nice work on mine....in my own garage. I think he could have made a good living on the honest side of life if he had chosen to.

I may be wrong, but I think there are charges still pending in San Jose in relation to the burg on a local P car shop and theft of major items later traced to him. I'll see if I can find out how that stands and report back.

KTL 01-22-2011 09:08 AM

What a shame it takes so much work to catch & convict someone that has done so much wrong so easily. Great job by you guys keeping the law on the trail. People like this just piss me off so much. Have no clue how scum like this have no conscience whatsoever. When/if he gets out, let's hope he #$%'s with the wrong guy and gets some serious one-on-one payback

You ****ed With The Wrong Marine Sound Clip and Quote

of course in the web address you need to put the proper spelling of the F bomb in the asterisk

you would've known it if his name wasn't a "protected" thing here on pp......
sure wayne has his intrests to protect, but now that he has been convicted it's not "slander" if it's the truth and any threats to pp should now be null and void since he was in fact convicted.....

i think that MANY of us here are waiting to see what the admins will do on this subject......hopefully it will not continue to "protect" convicted criminals....

This is an incredibly messed-up story. I've considered doing some mobile Porsche repair/maintenance and now I fear that the whole business plan is tainted from this guy's actions.

What a scumbag...hope he gets stomped by someone in jail.

Joe Bob 01-22-2011 11:53 AM

The only mobile wrench I ever heard bad things about is numbnutz on this board. The Honda guy used to be in my office's parking lot 3 times a week. The property owner finally kicked him off due to liability issues.

One BIG problem on mobile wrenching is the multitude of business licenses you need. Each City and County makes you bend over. You can try to blend in between the leaves but there are code compliance guys you will call your ad and invite you to their 'hood.

They'll be there with their ticket book....

Good work Joe and friends.
One Porsche predator / scumbag down.

Now if we could get some others who prey on PP members put away.
Oh if there were just some way to post a thread about them.

M.D. Holloway 01-22-2011 12:18 PM

If someone wants to see some of Jimmy's screen names, just go to my Pelican profile located here: Pelican Parts Technical BBS - View Profile: Joeaksa

Several of the posts on my profile are from Jimmy, like "1guyLA, gogogadget. socal911dude" and so on. He had hundreds of user names and the Mods were eventually deleting them.

Problem from their end is that Jimmy was kinda like Bin Laden, from what we hear he never stayed in one place for very long sleeping in different houses all the time. We have never found his large stash of parts, and feel that there are at least two storage lockers that have loads of Pelican owners engines and parts.

Funny thing, Jimmy tried to be a "good guy" after he found out that the CHP had him on several felony counts. He offered to turn in some of the stolen property. He thought that he was turning back in the parts from people that he was already known to the CHP but was wrong. He turned in engines. gearboxes and other parts to them expecting a reduction in charges but it turns out that they did not know about these cars/owners and they then filed NEW and additional charges against him!

Thats when the CHP and DA knew that they had a big fish out there. That and the prodding by Mark Fraiser, Mark Rogers and others. We were calling the DA the days before each hearing asking them for the full count and "do you want us to come over to sit in court?"

Now the sad thing is that there are still stolen parts floating around out there that were involved with Jimmy with serial numbers on them. If they are found (and some will) they will be siezed.

Thanks much but Mark Fraiser is the one who did the lions share of this. He is the one who was banned for trying to warn Pelican owners about this criminal and now needs to be re-instated.

Bell, right now there are almost 2000 of us on the thread who are as well waiting and watching. Mark Fraiser did not deserve (IMHO) what happened to him but now is the time to make things right.

I know that when I meet him he is getting a free dinner and drinks! Without him Jimmy would still be out there ripping Pelican 911 owners off, laughing all the way to the bank.

Buckterrier 01-22-2011 01:19 PM

Hey Joe, Good job too all. I know a little about him but why was Mr. Fraiser banned? I mean I know you say because he was warning Pelicans but why did that cause a banning?
Thanks.

I do not know or understand the legal ramifications but Wayne is no fool, he must have had a very good reason to stop the posts about this scumbag. Hopefully when the dust settles he'll be able to explain it all so we'll understand.

Mark Frasier was trying to do the right thing but what got him banned was ignoring numerous warnings from Wayne and the moderators to knock it off.
They told him to stop, he ignored them and did it anyway, that's why they banned him.
I'd like to see him re-instated but it isn't my board, and Wayne has to be careful that what is posted here does not get him or his company in trouble. he wasn't trying to protect the scumbag, he was trying to protect pelican, and us.

It sux that our legal system is so screwed up by the bad lawyers that the good guys are under more threat than the bad guys, but until we round up all the scum civil lawyers and make em go away, it is what it is.

EDIT uh oh, I prolly shouldn't have said that. The next time a scum lawyer gets taken out some other blood-sucking leech will try to say it's my fault for inciting it.
Remember the good old days when we were encouraged to tell the truth? Now we get punished for it.
