Midwest engine rebuild

My nephew has decided to finally rebuild the 1970 S coupe that his uncle, (certainly not me) left him. He lives in mid Ohio and is looking for a reputable place near him to ship or drive the engine to for complete rebuild. Anybody have any experience with a good midwest shop? Any guesses as to how much this will cost him? I know that dealer that is in Porsche family is close but I'm sure cost would be prohibitive there.

Contact Tab Tanner to get more info on costs. He's a Pelican and good guy all around.

According to my web search, he seems to be held in high esteem in the region.

David, I would have him ship it out to Steve Weiner at Rennsport.

I talked to him yesterday. Seems the motor is in the car so he is going to move the whole package to whomever. How are you Shaun?

I'm OK, thanks, life is pretty good these days, and you? Thought of you 2 weeks ago, when I have time going to get my old 30-30 at my grandfather's and send to you for a restoration.

He should consider dropping the motor and putting it on a palette. As an S, there's only 2-3 people in the country I'd send mine to, and Steve is first on the list.
