12v electrical question(s)

I have a plethora of 12v cig adapters. Some have heavier gauge wires while a few are pretty wimpy.

How do you measure the gauge of the wire? Strip, roll and put a caliper on it?

I have a chart for amp rates.....

Send a message via AIM to Gogar
Look up "american wire gauge wiki"; There's a table there where you can convert thousandths to AWG.

Measure the bare wire.
