I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time this "occupation thread" has popped up in the last year....

I retired 3 years ago (30 years a firefighter) also owned a business for 16 years, which I sold 4 years ago. Now I just ride my road & mountain bikes, play with the P-Car and the grandkids and travel. (and on occasion drive my wife crazy)

I'm in sales for a national wire service. I work in the Nat. Press Bldg. in Wash. DC and get to read a lot of news before it's in the papers and I see famous people every day. It's a cool job.

Uh, here's a few from my resume:

Reason for leaving last job: They insisted that all employees get to work by 8:45 every morning. Could not work under those conditions. The company made me a scapegoat, just like my three previous employers.


Instrumental in ruining entire operation for a Midwest chain store. Note: Please don't misconstrue my 14 jobs as "job-hopping." I have never quit a job.


I have lurnt WordPerfect 6.0 computor and spreadsheat progroms.

It's best for employers that I not work with people.

Registered Nurse (ICU) it surprises me that there are not more in the medical field on this board. I work for the Dept of the Army and we have no less than 5 internet ready computers in our 4 bed ICU *grin* Definitely a "perk" Brian

I'm the Content Development Mgr. for an online music company I helped start called Streamwaves.com. It's basically a giant (LEGAL) jukebox on the net and I work with record labels to determine which artists/content we want on the site. Helps satisfy my other hobby/addiction...music.
