Given your culinary sophistication, I fear you will be disappointed in your mastication. Lots of salt and garlic, served with a side of salty garlic garlic salt.

It could be worse, but not much.

Not good for an authentic Italian dining experience but they do a good job. wine, salad, breadsticks, and some gooey cheesy pasta dish and you will be a happy camper. You don't have to go back.

Soup and salad are edible for a quick lunch. Try the Zuppa Toscana soup - quite tasty. My wife makes a version of it at home that we all love. Their other soups, not so good. Lettuce is from a bag but their Ranch dressing is not too shabby.

The only chain style Italian place that I like is Macaroni Grill, and they closed all of them here.
Ive never much liked OG, even when I was a poor college student. If the family wants to go, I can stomach their fettucini Alfredo.

I love threads like this....it's one meal and it's free. Something to do. In 8 hours you can have another meal.

Geez, OG aint that bad.. i do prefer Macoroni Grille, but OG is fine. Think of it like 'fast food, sit down, Italian dining' and youll be fine..

It's ALMOST as good as Macaroni Grill. That can mean whatever you want it to.

Reminds me of my one experience with The Outback Steakhouse a couple of years ago when in SoCal.
There was a group of us; after open house at European Collectibles on the Literature Fair weekend...who wanted to head out for dinner. Well someone suggested the Outback Steakhouse...my host winced a little; but I thought we should politely accept as we all wanted to eat together anyway. I distinctly remember Dave from TRE looking over the table at me, very amused at the look on my face as I was perusing the so-called 'authentic' Australian menu. He said something along the lines of "so, Lis...what do you recommend as authentic Aussie on the menu?". I think I just looked up at him blankly and mouthed...f...ed if I know...I have no idea who their menu advisers are/were...but there are better menus in most local pubs here! For the record; worst steak I have had in a very long time...ugh. |
