File Uploading Problem

why would Pelican give me this error:

"You did not enter a filename or you attempted to upload an empty file. Please go back and try the upload again."

I've tried several files, all are not large in size, and display fine in Irfanview or other pgms.

I'm trying from my old XP machine (which used to do this just fine) - no problems using the downtown connection (it used to be at home); computer is on Cable in either place, but new location has several users (yet no problems doing anything from there on the internet).
