For myself, semi-retirement has been my last 20 some yrs of work. I work 27 hours per week sometimes. M,T,W are my staples ,work some F but love those 4 day wkends. I like 4 day wkends better than 2 wks off.

At 62 now, don't plan on changing the plan anytime soon, having too much fun now. I come to my workplace to get away from work.

Re-tire, no, my truck doesn't need new tires!!

If you are working on a regular basis, you aren't retired. You may be just working "part time."
Marv nailed it. You are only semi-retired if you don't have to work. You may chose to work on and off to help out your kids, buy a toy, go on a bigger vacation than usual etc.

I almost feel semi-retired today - got out of work before 6 on a Friday!
