I was finding a house off-post for my family to live in while I was in Vietnam.

Best,
Tom

I was 8, remember going to Carmel with my parents, remember all the hippies.........one was riding a Honda Mini Trail 70 Chopper! At that time, I had a Mini Trail 70 and wanted to make mine a Chopper too.

Bought my first Porsche 911 in '66 at 17 years old. (and no, parents didn't buy it for me)
Had two girlfriends at the same time (hey, it was the 60s) We went to see the movie Grand Prix when I got the car, pulled in the theatre parking lot and parked right up at the front where the line of people were waiting to enter the theatre. Everyone was checking out the car (911s were pretty rare in 66) and then everyone was checking out my gf's (total babes). Biggest ego rush ever.
On the way home got a speeding ticket. Thought I was James Garner!

Let's see... your Summer; our Winter.

Probably lots of eating, playing, sleeping, tottering about etc. I was 13 months old.

I was 12 probably riding my bicycle with baseball cards clothes pinned up against the spokes. Those baseball cards would be worth something today if I hadn't destroyed them.

What were you doing the summer of '66?

Waving goodby to my dad going off to Korea for a year. Because of the Pueblo incident he was there for six months more.

In 18 months we saw him only 3 days. There were no phone calls, no email, no video. Just letters.

Edit: oops I just Googled it, that was the summer of 68.
